The story begins in a hospital where a woman has been admitted due to serious head injuries caused when she fell from her third story flat. Nobody is sure of the circumstances surrounding the accident, and family members/friends are raising questions as to whether this was a suicide attempt.
The story is then diverted to a different setting in which six unlikely companions have been washed up on a desolate beach. It is clear that the six are well acquainted with each other.
The characters could be created by different writers on the project, but some ideas are as follows:
A timid seven year old girl A fiery middle aged house wife A noble Victorian gentleman-cum-detective A sultry female lounge singer An eccentric clock-maker A tortured, bohemian writer
The six are the prominent alter-egos of the woman who lies in a coma. They have been thrown back into the recesses of her subconscious due to the accident and must find their way back to the conscious realm to wake her before it is too late. They must journey through the landscapes of her various memories, dreams and fears, whist exploring their relationships along the way. |
